Hello, friends!
We are so excited to share with you some big news: the title of our next album will be:
OF HARD TIMES AND HARMONY
We will announce this title and pre-launch our crowdfunding campaign at our Livestream Concert tonight (links below!), but we wanted to be sure to tell you all first! It is because of your support that we’ve been able to keep making music during this pandemic, and we just finished four days of recording with our sound engineer, Alan Stockwell. Without our Patreon community behind us, it would have been a bigger challenge to make that kind of investment during a time when we don’t have our normal income stream from gigging and teaching, so we want to extend a particular THANK YOU to all of you. for helping make this possible. We believe that, in these increasingly challenging times, music is all the more important, and we are so grateful for your help in making that possible.
You have heard a lot of the music that will be on OF HARD TIMES AND HARMONY in concerts over the past few years, and we also have a few new tracks up our sleeves. 🙂 The clip above is a snippet of recording the vocal tracks for Pie in the Sky. As you may remember, this song has a rollicking banjo accompaniment, which we’re listening to on headphones, along with a metronome click track. However, since we take the finale tag out of time, we asked Alan to mute the click track and create some extra space in the banjo track before the final strum. It turns out, there was way more space than we needed, and you can see us listening for the belated strum, which never ceased to amuse us.
We’ve dubbed our concert tonight our “We’re Done Recording Celebratory Livestream” and you’ve probably gotten info about it via email or social media, but here are the links again.
Monday, Sept 21 (Today!) at 7pm EDT

This is our first time testing out YouTube Live, so if you watch there, let us know what you think! We will leave the concert up on Facebook and YouTube for about a week, and then we’ll post the video here on Patreon, so if you can’t make it tonight (or just want to watch it over and over again) you’ll have access to it forever!
