If you follow Windborne on Facebook or Instagram, you might have seen this post already, but we wanted to share it here as well because it’s about YOU, and the important work that you are enabling us to do. We are so grateful for your support, and for being able to say yes to gigs like this!

One of the goals we had when we set up our Patreon page was to use the support we received to enable us to say yes to more gigs for causes we care about, regardless of whether or not they had the budget to pay us.
Last week, we performed at an all-volunteer benefit concert at the The Burren that raised more than $7000 for the Somerville Homeless Coalition, and our participation in that event was directly enabled by our Patreon backers.
🙌THANK YOU 🙌 for helping us use our music to help others.
We sang our arrangement of The Terror Time by Ewan MacColl, because his haunting song speaks directly to the hardships faced by those who are without a house, both from the changing of the weather at this time of year, and from the attitudes of people around them:
//when you need the warmth of your own human kind / you pull near a town but then / they say the sight of you’s offending / and the police they are sending / and you’re on the road again //
